We offer a variety of installation services from our GE Authorized Techs.
✔ HAUL AWAY
Replacing an existing appliance? No problem. Select Haul Away Service in your Cart for us to haul your old appliance away.
Haul Away service consists of the removal and disposal of the old appliance. To qualify for the haul-away service, the old appliance must be the same appliance type and in the same space as the new appliance being delivered. The old appliance must be empty and disconnected from electricity, gas and/or water hookups. No obstacles must be in the path of removal including but not limited to furniture, narrow doorways or stairways, toys, pets, snow, ice, etc. GE will not disassemble old appliance prior to removal. GE may, in its sole discretion, refuse to deliver and/or haul away your appliance if it deems the conditions too hazardous. Please refer to the Terms & Conditions of Purchase and product manual available online for more details.
PREPARING FOR YOUR DELIVERY
Follow our delivery checklist to make sure you're ready to go for delivery day:
Verify you have the proper electrical
outlets, gas shut off valves, water supply and
shut off valves, or venting sources needed for
installation.
Clear pathways and measure intended
installation area to confirm appliance
will fit.
Empty existing appliances if you're having them relocated or hauled away.
Coordinate any special access needed for
delivery agents ahead of time - gate access,
parking passes, etc.
Secure all pets behind closed doors prior to the delivery agent’s arrival.
Make sure someone 18 or older will be present at the appointment time.

Please note: Installation Techs will not perform Haul Away of old appliances.
Dishwasher
The replacement dishwasher must be the same dimensions as the current unit and be installed in its current location.
What’s Included

Technician to review Scope of Work before commencing.
Remove packaging and inspect unit.
Disconnect existing dishwasher (if applicable)
Prepare appropriate drilling if side-mounting is necessary and possible.
Installing the new dishwasher within the existing opening, connecting it to the pre-existing plumbing and electrical systems.
Provide and connect dishwasher supply line.
Ensure dishwasher is properly grounded.
Test to ensure proper operation
What’s not included?
-
Disposal of old unit and new packaging.
Supply and install of a new shut off valve.
Routing water and drain lines through adjacent cabinet(s) other than the sink base.
Upgrading of electrical services, structural modifications or removal of cabinetry to accommodate new appliances.
Note: Replacement of circuit breakers (requires a licensed electrician).
Over The Range Microwaves
The replacement Over the Range must be the same dimensions as the current unit and be installed in its current location.

Disconnect existing appliance.
Ensure appliance is properly grounded.
Test to ensure proper operation.
What’s not included?

Disposal of old unit and packaging.
Structural modifications or upgrades to the electrical service.
Removal of cabinetry to accommodate new appliances.
Note: Replacement of circuit breakers (requires a licensed electrician).
Gas Cooktops/Ranges
The replacement Gas Cooktop/Range must be the same dimensions as the current unit and be installed in its current location.
What’s Included
-
Review installation with customer at start of work.
Remove packaging and inspect unit.
Terminate gas service from shut-off valve, disconnect and cap existing gas appliance.
Connect gas service and ventilation to new gas appliance.
Includes supply and install of gas flex line.
Installation of anti-tip bracket if supplied with appliance.
Turn on gas service and test all connections for leaks.
Test to ensure proper operation.
What’s not included?

Pick up and disposal of old unit and packaging.
Shut-off valve, gas conversions and structural modifications
Removal of cabinetry to accommodate new appliances.
Upgrade of electrical services.
Note: Replacement of circuit breakers (requires a licensed electrician).
Single Wall Ovens
The replacement Wall Oven must be the same dimensions as the current unit and be installed in its current location.
What's included

Review installation with customer at start of work.
Remove packaging and inspect unit.
Disconnect existing appliance.
Installation and level the new appliance.
Connect electrical services.
Ensure appliance is properly grounded.
Test the unit and ensure all controls and accessories are working accordingly.
Final clean-up of job site.

Structural modifications
Removal of cabinetry to accommodate new appliances.
Upgrade of electrical service.
Note: Replacement of circuit breakers (requires a licensed electrician).
Fridges & Waterlines
The replacement Fridge must be the same dimensions or smaller as the current unit and be installed in its current location. The replacement Fridge will have standard hook-up, level, and connect to an existing water line.
What’s Included
-
Review installation with customer at start of work.
Remove packaging and inspect unit.
Ensure electrical cord is unplugged.
Disconnect existing fridge by terminating water source.
Connect fridge waterline and or installation of the icemaker kit and connections.
Purge air from system as required.
Turn on water source and test unit and all connections for leaks.
Ensure cord is plugged back into receptacle and properly secured.
Relocate fridge into opening.
Test to ensure proper operation.
What’s not included?

Pick up and disposal of old unit and packaging.
Shut-off valve and structural modifications
Removal of cabinetry to accommodate new appliances.
Upgrade of electrical services.
Note: Replacement of circuit breakers (requires a licensed electrician).
Washer and/or Electric Dryer Installation (side by side)
The replacement washer and/or dryer must be the same dimensions as the current unit and be installed in its current location side by side.
What’s Included

Review installation with customer at start of work.
Remove packaging and inspect unit.
Turn off water service.
Remove parts from drum and shipping bolts from back of washer.
Levelling of the washer and or dryer.
Turn on water service and test all connections for leaks.
Run test cycle on units and review installation with customer.
One Purchase Includes a Pair of Washer/Electric Dryer Install
What’s not included?

Structural modifications.
Metal vent hose for dryer and washer supply lines.
Removal of cabinetry to accommodate new appliances.

When will you perform the installation services?
Our installer will contact you within 2 business days of your purchase to schedule your installation.
Installation will take place separately at least 1 day after the delivery of the new unit has been completed.
How long does the install take?
In most cases the installation will be completed within 2 hours.
