Form. Fit. Function.
From compact condos to spacious kitchens, GE Appliances offers the perfect fridge to match your styles, space, and storage needs.
Counter-Depth Refrigerators
Counter-depth refrigerators blend in almost seamlessly with surrounding cabinetry, providing a built-in look without the built-in expense.
PROs For True Counter-Depth Refrigerators
- These refrigerators aren’t built in, but they do sit closer to the surrounding cabinetry, for a nearly-flush appearance.
- No special installation is required.
- True Counter-depth models are not as pricey as most built-in models, so you can get a built-in look on a tighter budget.
CONs For True Counter-Depth Refrigerators
- Although these are called “counter-depth” they may not sit fully flush with the countertops to allow for door clearances. Be sure to check with your installation agent or installation guide to make sure you have enough space for the doors to fully open.
Free-Standing Refrigerators
This classic refrigerator styling complements a wide variety of kitchen designs.
PROs For Free-Standing Refrigerators
- These models are available at multiple price points, which make them a good option for tight budgets.
- Free-standing refrigerators are the easiest to remove and replace.
- Free-standing refrigerator models tend to have the most capacity space inside.
CONs For Free-Standing Refrigerators
- These refrigerators do not have a built-in look of true built-in refrigerators or counter-depth refrigerators.
- Free-standing refrigerators typically stick out the farthest from the surrounding cabinetry.
