What’s Included
- Discuss overall operation of appliance, any issues to note by consumer
- Visual check
- Turn on all burners/elements, for electric models check that all elements are cycling on-off
- Check oven elements (both bake and broil) turn on and cycle at proper temperature
- Check oven door operation (open/close) and verify oven liner seal
- Check oven cavity for damage and for excessive debris/spillovers
- Check for cooling & convection fan operation where applicable
- Try buttons on control panel and verify the features work as designed. Inspect knobs for any cracks
- Inspect anti-tip bracket (if already installed)
- Check for stored fault codes
- Go to service mode and test key components
- Review results of inspection with consumer
- Answer any consumer questions
- Installation services—whether for the product itself or any of its components (such as anti-tip brackets)—are not included.
Washers
Overall check for general state of product/obvious issues.
What’s Included
- Discuss overall operation of appliance, any issues to note by consumer
- Level unit and ensure legs are locked
- Check lid opens and closes properly
- Inspect dispenser drawer
- Check supply water valves (hot and cold), ensure they open and close properly
- Check fill hoses (including steam hose to dryer if applicable) for wear and signs of leaks
- Inspect drain hose for wear and signs of leaks and ensure it is properly secured (either by tie-wrap or clamp)
- Activate control panel, ensure lights come on and knobs turn. Inspect knobs for any cracks
- Visual check outside and inside wash basket, spin basket freehand
- Check balance ring for damage/leakage
- For Front Load washers:
- Inspect boot for signs of wear
- Clean lint filter
- Check belt tension
- Check for leaks under the washer (water or transmission oil)
- Check for stored fault codes
- Go to service mode and test key components
- Start test cycle
- Review results of inspection with consumer
- Answer any consumer questions

Dryers
Check the operation and physical condition of the dryer.
What’s Included
- Discuss overall operation of appliance, any issues to note by consumer
- Check door opens and closes properly
- Ensure unit is properly leveled
- Activate control panel, ensure lights come on and knobs turn. Inspect knobs for any cracks
- Visual check outside and inside dryer drum, spin drum freehand
- Check dryer vent for wear/proper connection (including clamps)
- Inspect lint screen for wear or damage and clean lint screen cavity
- Turn on a Timed Dry cycle on High temp and confirm dryer vents properly and has heat. Also check amperage of heating element(s)
- Check for stored fault codes
- Go to service mode and test key components
- Disconnect vent and clean lint from internal dryer ducts
- Inspect household vent for visible lint accumulation (if accessible)
- For Dryers with steam option:
- Check water valve operation
- Check water line for condition & sign of leaks
- Review results of inspection with consumer
- Answer any consumer questions

Refrigerators
Overall check, general overview of the refrigerator.
What's included
- Discuss overall operation of appliance, any issues to note by consumer
- Open and close doors & lubricate if necessary, make sure handles are properly secured
- Check the temperature of FF and FZ sections
- Inspect freezer for any ice build up
- Visual check outside and inside
- Inspect lighting condition
- Inspect shelving condition, including sliding if applicable
- Inspect crisper/fruit and veg bin conditions
- Inspect door bins for damage or cracks
- Inspect door gaskets for damage
- Check for any system noise/abnormal sounds
- Ensure unit is properly leveled
- Check water line and water line connections (if applicable) for condition & signs of leakage
- Check water filter connection for leakage
- Check icemaker (if applicable) & run test cycle
- Check the dispenser (if applicable) and test water valve (check for leaks)
- Check & clean condenser (if applicable)
- Inspect and clean front grill
- Check for stored fault codes
- Go to service mode and test key components

Dishwashers

- Check door opens and closes properly and inspect door seal
- Activate control panel, ensure lights come on and knobs turn
- Visual check outside and inside Dishwasher tub, spin all wash arms freehand
- Operate Dishwasher racks and inspect for damage/rust, inspect cutlery basket for wear
- Check drain hose installation at house drain, inspect for wear, kinks & blockage
- Inspect clamp tightness and condition
- Inspect waterline for wear, kinks & blockage
- Inspect shut-off valve condition under sink
- Remove kick plate, check for signs of leaks under the Dishwasher
- Check waterline connection to water valve
- Inspect water valve for leaks (including under the Dishwasher)
- Check pump and all pump hose connections for condition & leakage
- Clean filtration system including pump
- Start test wash cycle and verify wash arms rotate
- Inspect detergent dispenser and ensure dispenser door works
- Make sure Dishwasher drains
- Check electrical connection in junction box (including strain relief)
- Check for stored fault codes
- Go to service mode and test key components
- Review results of inspection with consumer
- Answer any consumer questions
